(I wish I could've lifted my other
eyebrow for that 3rd one, but I'm unable to. Oh well.)

No Purple Shelves

I've recently acquired a new musical interest on YouTube. His name is Michael and his username is "nopurpleshelves". He's a really talented musician both in singing and guitar and has some brilliant covers posted on his channel. He only had about 7 subscribers when I came across his page, but I think he deserves some more so I've sent one of his videos out to YouTube friends, and now I'm posting about him here. So, if anyone reads this, here is a link to his channel. Go check him out. Leave him comments, subscribe if you want. Do what you do! Tell him Claudia sent you and enjoy. :) http://www.youtube.com/nopurpleshelves

twitter

As some of you may have already noticed, I've acquired a twitter.
Follow me at http://twitter.com/Claudiia
Don't forget that it has a double "i"

While glancing around the twitter website, I noticed that there was a profile for Barack Obama, so I decided to follow him. I'm pretty sure it's NOT Obama updating this himself but the following email I received still made me chuckle:
"Hi, Claudia. Barack Obama (BarackObama) is now following your updates on Twitter."

Make Art!

This video is an amazing collaboration to support art on YouTube, made by fantastic artist Paul Heard, also known as CheekyChen on the tube. :) Check it out! I appear pretty close to the beginning, 12th to be exact.

Check out Paul's channel too, if you haven't already.

*EDIT (3/26/07)* The Make Art video was featured on the front page of both the UK and Ireland YouTube sites. So yay for Paul and yay for being indirectly featured for the first time. :)

Rest in peace, Grandpa

Paul Michael Schieve
August 12, 1928 - March 8, 2008
May the angels lead you into paradise; may the martyrs come to welcome you and take you to the holy city, the new and eternal Jerusalem. May the choir of angels welcome you. Where Lazarus is poor no longer, may you have eternal rest.
I love you Grandpa.

Snowstorm

Crazy crazy weather! People are saying that it hasn't snowed this bad for years. I wasn't able to go anywhere today, but I did stick my head outside to snap a quick picture. My photo doesn't even begin to demonstrate what it's like out there. I think we have about 15" of snow. Some Spring Break.

:(

My grandpa died today. He's been going through a lot the last couple months, but I don't think anyone thought he would go so soon. He was taken to the hospital Thursday night with an infection but we didn't know how bad it was. And he passed away this morning.

I haven't had to deal with a death this close to home since my other grandpa died when I was 7. I wasn't sure how I would deal with it now that I'm older, but I'm doing alright I suppose. I'm crying a lot, and feeling really sad for my dad too, but I'm better when I can get my mind off it and distract myself with other things. It's just hard. It's like I can't really believe he's gone.

The play I'm in was canceled tonight because of the weather. It's been snowing insanely over here which is just making everything more difficult. The whole city is basically shut down. There's cars getting stuck on almost every street. It's supposed to stop by tomorrow I think and we have a matinee performance. I'm not sure that people will show up, but we'll see. On Friday night we had about 10 people in the audience. We probably should've canceled then too, but we didn't. Okay, well. I just thought I'd update those who read this. If anyone does.

Palm Sunday Tornado Hits Crystal Lake

Check out this out! It's a video for Sufjan Stevens' song, Palm Sunday Tornado Hits Crystal Lake. It's very cool and trippy to say the least. Turning up the volume, putting on headphones, and viewing this full screen would probably be the best thing to do.
