Hello! Well, I've been quite a busy bee these last couple days! I've come to the conclusion that this second semester of college is far more taxing than the first. I have more classes than last semester, plus the majority of my classes are more difficult. A few of them have no tests, which may sound nice at first, but I have to write giant, detailed papers for those instead. I have two papers due in two weeks actually. My sleeping patterns are currently whacked out as well.
Aside from schoolwork, I'm also in a play at a local community theater, which opens in two weeks. The play is called Steel Magnolias. You may have heard of it. It was made into a movie in 1989 and starred Julia Roberts, Sally Field, Shirley MacLain, Dolly Parton and Daryl Hannah. It's a great movie, kind of a chick flick I suppose. It's really funny though, and sad at the same time. The plot is basically the same in both the movie and play. I play Shelby, the Julia Roberts character, the diabetic who insists on getting pregnant despite the her medical condition.
*SPOILER ALERT!* (Like you care anyway.) I get to have a diabetic seizure and throw and spit juice all over everyone on stage! How cool is that! Haha. Plus, I DIE towards the end! I don't think I've ever died in a play before, so that's quite exciting. I don't actually get to have a death scene on stage though, which kind of stinks. I die off stage and then the cast talks about it. Oh well. Still cool.
I really have to work on memorizing my lines for that. I've been trying, but I'm nowhere near off-book. I've been so swamped with homework and studying. It's imperative that I keep up my GPA, so I can keep my scholarship. I did well last semester. I even made the Dean's List! :-) So, I've just gotta really buckle down to stay on it!
Needless to say, I'm welcoming this weekend with open arms. I really need some time off. Plus, tomorrow night, Mom and I are going to see Wicked at the State Theatre! I've seen it once already in Columbus over the summer, but my mom hasn't seen it yet. I'm really excited! :) She's going to love it. The tickets were a Christmas present from my Aunt Bonnie, who took me to see it in Columbus. I love Aunt Bonnie. :)

wow your blog is much more put together than mine...steel magnolias is a good movie...kinda funny because i had been talking about it the other day and haven't watched it in forever...that sounds fun to be in a play...i would've been in one if i hadn't decided to become home schooled in the middle of junior high last year. anyways good luck with everything!
Wow, you are a busy girl! That whole seizure scene sounds like fun.
I have an aunt Bonnie, too!
Kelly ~/`~ (aka winklie)
karma-plays are so much fun! Even if you're homeschooled, you could probably find a community theatre somewhere if you really wanted to.
kelly-Aunt Bonnies are the best! haha.
Steel Magnolias was my favorite movie for a while. And then I got into action movies and chick flicks are now a thing of the past. I bet you'll do amazing though! Good luck!
I'm jealous that you've seen/are going to see Wicked. I'm reading the book right now. Jealous I say!
Hi! Yea, I've gotta admit I love a good action/thriller myself. But I have a soft spot for chick flicks too. :) Thanks. & I loved the book Wicked! I read it before I saw it the 1st time. Definitely much darker than the musical.
I closed my account for a couple of reasons. I guess as much as I like youtube, I was sort of getting tired of making videos.
