It's been awhile since I wrote that blog post in April about how much schoolwork I had piling up. I recently realized that I never updated about how it all turned out. How very inconclusive of me. I think I will do that now. It's about time. I finished my first year of college almost a month ago!
Alright. Back when midterm grades were posted, I was a little nervous. Some of my grades weren't very good. Mostly Geology, Geology Lab, and History (Math and English were fine.) My grades weren't terrible I guess, but they weren't great either. Let's put it this way: I was passing, but It looked like if I didn't get my act together quickly, I could possibly lose my scholarship. Then as the end of the semester was approaching I had a mountain of work assigned to me which I mentioned in April. I basically was a giant ball of stress for a couple weeks and my social life pretty much vanished. It seemed like all I was doing was reading 400 page history books and writing papers.
I'm happy to report that everything ended up okay, and by okay I mean spectacular! All of my hard work paid off in the end. I got A's on all of my final papers and did well on my tests which resulted in my grades raising and I now get to keep my scholarship! Woohoo!
